Is it possible to install Windows XP on a Compaq Prosignia Server 740 with
128 MB of memory and 2 9.1 gig SCSI hard drives. The server does not have an
OS on it yet and I was hoping I could use XP as its OS.

It will work fine, as long as you have all the correct XP drivers for the
hardware installed. Also remember if you are using XP Pro, don't expect to
utilized "physical" CPU's more than 2.

I tried installing th XP pro and it does not seem to "see" the SCSI hard
drive. I can format it FDISK it and search through it so I know its
accessable, why cant XP Pro See it?

Early in the procedure, you are asked to press F6 for SCSI devices.. at this
point, you need a diskette containing SCSI drivers..

Yes.. it appears at the base of the window.. a system will assume that it is
being loaded to an IDE drive unless it is told different.. just the way
things are..
