Installing Service Pack 1

I receive a 'Service Pack 1 Setup error'

Setup could not verify the integrity of the file
Update.inf.
Make Sure the Cryptographic service is running on the
computer.


I did verify that the Cryptographic is running !!!

Make Sure the Cryptographic service is running on the
computer.

Rename the folder windows\system32\catroot2 and reboot. That will
generate a new, clean folder, and you can then delete the renamed one.


Make sure you have the firewall enabled before getting any downloads.
Then install SP1, followed by getting - only - Q817287 and install
it, which should now be OK. It is the cure for the problem: you
should then be able to carry on with other updates, and the problem
will not recur
