Installing new mother board

I will be upgrading my motherboard, what do I need to do
to make sure my computer boots up and runs properly. Any
help would be appriciated.

Windows will have to be re-activated after this. Beside of that you
should not run into any problems if you take care about that the main
board is compatible with the RAM and the CPU. As always, to be on the
safe side you should backup at least all the data that cannot be
restored on another way than via a personal backup.
 
If your new motherboard is sufficiently different from the old one, you will
likely need to perform a reinstall/repair install of Windows.
