Being unable to access Internet Explorer due to a corrupt
file or registry entry, I have attempted to re-install IE as
per KB article #318378.
I download the fresh copy of IE, but it doesn't install. I
get an error message: "The software you are installing has
not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility
with Windows XP. This software will not be installed."
Since IE is a vital part of Windows XP, I have to assume it
is compatible. What is causing this error message?
