installing error blue screen of death

I am currently running win 98 se and have xp home to
install but during the pepraing to install part I get the
blue screen of death saying page error on non page area
what is that I have install this os before on this
computer before but due to Hard drive prolbems I lost it
well lost everything now It wont install any more HELP
me plz thanx

I assume that this is an XP upgrade otherwise I would assume that you would
do a clean install.
Did you reformat the disk before reinstalling 98se and then XP? Did you get
any errors when installing 98se? Do you have exactly the same hardware that
you had before when it did work?

When MS operating systems have failures during installation, it usually
is because of bad hardware. You need to do some hardware diagnosis,
starting with the RAM and then moving onto the hard drive and
motherboard. If you can't do this, then take your computer to a good
local repair shop and have them fix it for you.
