Hi Guys,

Well basically when I start up my computer, it starts to load XP for 1
second, then I just get the blue screen of death with the error message
"unmountable_boot_volume". Any ideas??

You got an answer in Start- Help & Support, no need to multi-post.

Hi Tom,

Try to perform a check disk by using the recovery console, you will need the
installation media (XP CD):
Try to run the chkdsk /r from the Recovery console and also the Fixmbr:

Change your BIOS to boot to CD first and boot from your XP disc. From
there you can attempt to repair your drive if the issue is software
related. If after the repair your PC still won't boot try temporarily
moving your drive to another (healthy) PC where it can be chkdsk /r,
scanned and backed up. Can't rule out a hardware or virus issue. If
it turns out to be only software you may opt to fdisk and format your
drive after the backup.
