Installing 32 bit XP on 64 bit machine

Can the user use the WinXP 32bit installer disk to boot from, format the
drive and install the 32bit version on a 64-bit hardware? Or that's not
recommended? If I understand correctly there will be no issues but he may
not see all his memory if it is 4GB or more correct?

Yes, it will work fine. Do to certain hardware limitations the user
will not be able to fully use 4GB of RAM.
