Am hopeing someone can help me!! I purchased computers
w/o OS and am going to install 2000 on them. They have
cdrw/dvd combos and I don't have a driver for dos that
will let me use the cd, tried using 2000 disc with cd
support and still won't read cdrw. I have looked
everywhere for drivers, the manufacturer has firmware
upgrades and that is all. I am lost right now, can anyone
help?

In Bios, bootup is set to cd first?
saved / rebooted, with win2k cd inserted.
Exact err msg?

On a functioning sys youve tried rebboting with wincd inserted , to check
the cd?

Simply boot from the Win2K installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
