Outlook Express does not exist, and can not run in Vista. Are you referring
to Windows Mail?

What dat file?

If you want to import messages into Windows Mail from OE then use File |
Import | Messages and point to the location of the OE dbx files. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx The import procedure is the same.
