Installation

I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP on a computer that I had repaired and
upgraded. At the beginning of the installation, it asks me to insert the
98/ME disk as the XP version that I purchased was an upgrade. I no longer
have this disk. Is there a workaround for this?

Win95 disk will work too, if you've got on of those. Your right to use an
upgrade license requires you to own a qualifying product. Buy one for cheap
on Ebay.

Since this is an upgrade version, you need to provide proof of a previously
purchased microsoft operating system, no other way to do it, maybe you have a
friend that has one of these OS cd's.
