My computer keeps crashing so I tried to install XP on a diffrent hard drive,
however I didn't get to finish reinstalling it. Now when I boot the computer
up it tries to boot off the new (incomplete) installation. How do I fix
this. If I hit F8 and Use last known good configuration it works fine, but
then the next time I boot I have the same problem.

Redo the XP installation again.

You would have to fix the boot.ini file but I wouldn't trust an XP
installation that did not finish. You're best option is to redo the XP
installation again.

Try right clicking My Computer and hitting Properties. Next, go to the
Advance Tab and hit the Settings button under the Startup and Recovery
option. Under Default Operating Systems menu drop down box, select the
correct installation of Windows XP that you would like to boot from
everytime.
