Instalation Of Windows Xp Pro With Sp2 Update

I Just Got My Copy Of Xp It's Fresh Out Of The Box, Hasnt Got A Scratch and I
went to install it, it went through the whole set up process and then came up
with the screen for instaling devices With 39 minutes left in the lower left
diplay of the screen above the bar and it caried on until 34 Minutes remained
and then my screen blinked (as if turned off and turned back on) then I heard
a high pitch sound come from my Computer like that of reading the cd rom, or
otherwise the hard drive
And then the screen just went blank..... nothing but a flahing line in the
top left of the screen like you see in 'dos' sometimes.. I then turned the
computer off (it's a soft reset platform it turned right off by the touch of
the button which has only ever happend when i run into errors with my pc, I
usualy have to hold it in for around 5 seconds.) so then I turned the
computer back on and The setup process started again then it said restarting
setup and did the same thing as before... Tried Instaling it on a different
drive Same thing.... and I can't access safe mode.
Can Anybody Please Help?
