I went to Windows Update and they are saying IE 7 is a high priority update,
along with Microsoft.Net Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3.
Questions: IE7
1) Is it critical to intall IE7?
2) Is it currently still in Beta stage?
3) Are people having problems with IE7 and/or with the XP operating system
after installing the update?
Questions: Microsoft.Net Framework..................
1) Do you recommend installing it?
2) Does/will it improve my XP operating system?
3) Are people having trouble with it and/or their XP operating systems after
installing this update?

I installed IE7 and about 5 minutes later uninstalled it.

Problems I've had:

1. It would retrieve any stored passwords for websites from IE 6. I have
lots of them so I can't afford to lose them.

2. Starting it and surfing are slower than molasses. I have a 12MB/s
connection.

3. Starting Outlook Express after installing it was excruciatingly slow.
It took a good 30 seconds to start OE, which normally happened in a blink of
the eye.

My personal suggestion. Stick with IE 6 or go with Firefox 2.0 until they
get all the kinks worked out.

Other than that, IE 7 works great on Windows Vista, but on my XP SP2
machine, it is slooooooow.
