Info about Windows Update.exe

Is "Windows Update.exe" a valid Microsoft Windows file? Please note the
space between Windows and Update. It is located on system32 directory, 144KB
and dated 12/7/99 7:00AM.

There's no file by that name on my system. I would guess that it is not a
valid Windows 2000 file since the date is too far back. My Win2K
distrubution files are dated 5/8/2002 07:00. Try right-clicking on the
file and selecting Properties. If the file is legitimate, there should
be a Version tab with plausible Microsoft-related entries. If you're
still not sure of its validity, try renaming it and see if anything
complains.
