incoming alert

Mary Krauss

I have a firewall on my machine and I keep getting
incoming alert messages about someone trying to connect
to 61.237.161.11 port 1097

Can you tell me what this is and if I deny all people
trying to connect to me in this way, will this effect my
machine at all.

I have had messages about port 445 and have been denying
them as I did read a message on microsoft that said they
are a risk.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.
Thanks you

Hi Mary.

This NG is dedicated to security issues with Microsoft
Access. Most people posting in this newsgroup are curious about
establishing security on a Microsoft Access database.

So, I would recommend that you post to a more appropriate NG. For
example, microsoft.public.isa, or microsoft.public.isaserver.*, as
appropriate.
