Inbox duplicating email

We have a user in our company who has a problem with his
Inbox email. When he came in this morning and opened
Outlook 2000, his computer started duplicating emails in
his In Box. Some of the emails are as old as February
2004. I tried compacting the PST file and then repairing
the few errors that were found. This did not fix the
problem. He currently has over 300 duplicated emails in
his Inbox and the amount continues to grow. Any
suggestions?
 
Not sure which version but go to Tools>Accounts and make sure you uncheck
the box that says "Leave a copy on the server" for his account.
