PROBLEM:
We are not able to check earthlink, hotmail, yahoo and gmail webmail
accounts. We get this error: http://tinyurl.com/ob5tu and when we run the
diagnostics test we get this message: http://tinyurl.com/mnrl6
We do not have any anti-virus or firewall installed.
We are not able to do a Windows Update: it shows error number 0x8024502D
We are not able to post on the Microsoft newsgroups for any help. We also
get the "Page cannot be displayed" when we try to sign onto the newsgroups.
We cannot sign into any Instant Messaging program. Yahoo messenger
encounters a fatal error.
We do have internet connection and can browse the internet.

Please help ASAP!! We are desperate!
thank you for your time.

1. Tried the proxycfg -u command, this is what came out: Error writing
proxy settings. (87) The parameter is incorrect. Migration filled with
error. (87) The parameter is incorrect.

2. Tried the proxycfg -d command, this is what came out: Direct access <No
proxy server>.

3. Tried the following solutions in:
http://www.updatexp.com/0x8024502d.html. Here's the results:

a. Resolution suggestion One: NO CHANGE. Problem unsolved.

b. Resolution suggestion Two: Does not apply as Norton Firewall and
Microsoft Firewall are already BOTH disabled. NO CHANGE. Problem unsolved.

c. Resolution suggestion Three: We are not on a VPN or network. We
are using comcast wireless and have even resorted to plugging directly into
the router to NO avail.

d. Resolution suggestion Four: See attached print screen image.

e. Resolution suggestion Five: Does not apply. Problem unsolved.

Please advise. Thanks.
