Importing Outlook contacts .pst file from a jump drive to my Conta

Hi

First thank you for any help on this. I've been pulling the hair out of my
head trying to figure this out.

I exported a group of Outlook 2003 .pst contacts from my work PC onto my
jump drive. From what I can tell I thought I exported correctly, I just
follwed the export wizard.

All I want to do is take these contacts that are on my jump drive and import
them into a sub-folder I created in my Outlook 2003 Contacts on my PC at home.

Easy enough right? Well I cannot get it to work, why is this so difficult
to do?

Am I not exporting them correctly to start off?

Thank you

You tell us why it is so difficult. You did not tell us what trouble you
are having. The method will work if done correctly.

Importing and exporting is always a poor choice for transfer of Outlook
data. Next time just create a PST file, copy your data into it, then
copy that PST file to the other location and open it in Outlook.

File > New > Outlook Data File.
That's all there is to it.
Your new PST file will appear in your profile and you can then copy any
information you want from your current file into it.
Then close Outlook completely and copy this PST file to your other
location. Open it in the other Outlook installation using File > Open >
Outlook Data File.

Exporting and importing loses data and has too many steps where it is
easy to corrupt or lose track of your data.
