Importing favorites from IE 5.5

Hi. I am attempting to import my favorites from a machine with Win98 and IE
5.5 to a machine with WinXP and IE 6, but during the import of the file I am
told that the file is not a valid bookmark file. I've exported my XP
favorites to a file to compare them and they look very similar, so I'm not
sure what the problem could be.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's exactly what I was doing. I removed the first line, and now it works
like a charm.
