Import problem

I bought an XP laptop in Sept 2006 that failed recently and the vendor
replaced it with a Viista laptop. I was able to copy my Address Book folder
and my Identities folders (with all the DBX files) to a USB drive before I
returned the old computer. Now I am trying to import the address book and the
DBX files for my mail folders into Windows Mail.
Problem 1: When I import contacts from the address book, it says the import
completed fine, but no additional contacts show up in my contact list.
Problem 2: When I select to Import / messages / from OE6 the next screen has
"from identities" grayed out (I know Windows mail doesn't support identities
but I intend to select the final folder with the DBX files to import) so all
I can select is "from OE6store". However when I then select the folder that
has the DBX files in it, I get the error that "no messages can be found in
this store".

How can I restore my messages and asddress book from the data I have?

Well...for the message import the path was not getting set right as your note
indicated was a problem, so I did get the messages imported. So I appreciate
your help on that. However my second problem was importing the address book
and that still doesn't work. The import says it is successful but nothing new
shows up in the contact list. Any ideas?

The contact problem is one I really can't answer. I've had your problem and
later had it work properly.

Are you sure you have the proper *.WAB file?
