Import of AVI files

Since update to service pack 2 unable to import AVI files fom networked
computer. Error Message is
"-- could not be imported. The selected file is not valid or is corrupted."
It used to work fine! The strange thing is that I can copy and paste the
file to the Host computer, import it from there and it works fine. I do not
think that the avi files are corrupt as they play fine on each individual
computer. Could it be the network firewall which has been put on by the
service pack 2 update? Any ideas? Thanks for any help that maybe forthcoming.

Hi Bob
Not sure what your question is but since i updated and put XP service pack
2, i have had this problem. Will not import AVI files from the client
computer into Windows Movie Maker on the host computer, yet i can copy from
the client and paste the files to the desktop on the host and import them
from there into Moviemaker. Its strange used to be ok!
