Images in IE6 only save as bitmap

Windows XP, IE 6.0.2800

When I go to save a graphic on the screen, it's only
available as a bitmap. I used to be able to save them as
gifs if they were a gif, but that option isn't available
anymore. Any suggestions?

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
