image file formt is not supported

When I click INSERT PICTURE FROM FILE, then single click
any JPG BMP or GIF, a preview is shown but nothing is put
in FILE NAME. when I click INSERT, I get the
message, "Could not load file C:\ -path- . This image
file formt is not supported."

My images (JPG BMP & GIF) are not read only.

I can insert a hyperlink, then in PREVIEW, I can click tht
hyperlink and the picture is shown.

Can anyone help?

Import the image into your current open FP web prior to using. Use only JPG or GIF images in your
web.
