I'm missing the explorer lower information bar and other items.

Having just put up WinXP Pro SP2 on this computer I now find I am missing
the lower information bar when explorer is open. The lower bar generally
shows the number of objects in a folder, amount of disk free space and other
items. How would I recover this feature? I have looked high and low
without luck. I'm also missing the option to spell check, to have a bcc and
I just don't know what else at this moment. Any help would be appreciated.

My Computer Toolbar "View", check "Status Bar". That's the easy one.
Spell check and BCC in what program???
 
If OE, View - All Headers and you need to buy a spell checker. As a lot buy office or works with windows, supplying windows with a dictionary would require two dictionary licensing fees per user.
