Ikernel.exe - Application Error

I am having a problem with this error dialog box popping
up, especially after installing any software. The newly
installed software seems to work, but I am having some
problems with DVD burning and I need to know how to check
to see if this is interfering with that process. Is it
telling me I have bad memory in RAM, or ROM. How do I
find out. Thank You in advance for any help you can give.
 
The rest of the error message says "The instruction
at "0x772200e4" referenced memory at "0x00169bf8". The
memory could not be "read". Click on ok to terminate
program.
