IEXPLORE caused general protection fault

When I try to get on to the internet I get a page which
says ERROR and the only option is to close the window. The
detail option shows IEXPLORE caused general protection
fault in module GFXDRV.DRV at 0001:0000723c
I have no problem with Outlook Express but the only way to
get on to the internet is to go into Settings and clicking
on Microsoft Support. I can then type in the web addresses
that I want but links to other pages bring up the same
error message. I have reinstalled Internet Explorer 6 but
it hasn't made any difference

I am experiencing the same problem but I cannot find a
solution. I thought I was onto something on the MS
website ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;en-us;293623 ) but the download I would need to
correct the problem is unavailable. I can no longer
navigate the Internet from home as a result.

I am getting very frustrated and am on the verge of
reformating!

See link. I deleted winshow.dll and it solved the problem.
