dear tina,
Sounds to me like many of you are describing symptoms of
something called "browser hi-jacking". Ad Aware does help
(be sure to download the newest version and update the
pattern files online as soon as you install it) but you
may have to get some professional help or really start
digging into your registry files (which is only
recommended if you have some specific guidance). Try
downloading a program called HiJack This (google search
works best) and run the utility BUT DO NOT ALLOW IT TO FIX
ANYTHING THE FIRST TIME YOU RUN THE SCAN! Copy the report
about what it found and post it on a site where someone
might be able to interpret it best and tell you which
items to allow the program to "repair".
Good luck to all with this affliction, I've started seeing
more and more "hijacking" in my job and they're getting
pretty insideous (sp?)
If this works, post a reply on this message ...I will look
at it..........
bye.
