Slow and general protection fault

IE6 is very slow as of last 2 weeks. I get error messages such as:
IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault
in module USER.EXE at 0003:00001022. Sometimes it just hangs the whole
computer and other times it sends error reports. I have Norton SystemWorks.
Everything is optimized, patched and uptodate. Is this a spyware issue or
paratsite issue?

How do I update video drivers? Any infomation or links
would be helpful. I have a Voodoo3 Ver4.
Also, do you have suggested links to spyware supported by
micorsoft?
