IE7 installation problems

Hi,

I'm writing here since I don't find any IE7 discussion group.
When trying to install the latest IE7 version I get an error message similar
to the following:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917925

However, the article solutions suggest opening a ie7.log file, which doesn't
exist on my system. I am logged in as Administrator and have all possible
rights to install software. I have previously had ie6 installed. How to
successfully install ie7?
