upgraded to IE7 - can only use it now as admin

Using:
*Windows XP
*Service Pack 2
*IE6 was upgraded to IE7 - 'run as' administrator, under a limited account
*Fresh default install and default settings.
*Cold boot after the install, in an attempt to fix the problem but without
success.

IE7 runs just fine under Administrator profile.
The problem is that IE7 cannot be run under limited account profiles. The
screen appears for a split second and crashes.

There was a similar issue documented for earlier IE7, under Vista, but
cannot locate a thing relating to this issue for XP.

Has anyone got any ideas? Much appreciate your thoughts and comments

that you...

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) EXACTLY per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html [Only use the Command
%windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe if you cannot uninstall via Add/Remove
Programs!]

2a. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

2b. Disable all Norton Add-ons, if applicable.

3. Reinstall IE7 EXACTLY per
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install <= Steps #1-8, #10 &
#11; take note of #12, then STOP!

NB: Use http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the
installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update.

Tip: Save the installer to your desktop, do not Run it.

4. IMMEDIATELY go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install any

IE7's additional security.

What if you go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools |
Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

Thank you both, Frank & PA Bear.

I will try running without add ons. In addition I have already rolled back
to IE6, installed IE7 from the executable and still have the same problem.

I'll be trying the IE7 install again, on another users machine that has had
the same problems in the past, and was put into the too hard basket.

We've updated hundreds of machines to IE7, but just the odd one has this
exact problem and we're keen to implement a fix for it whenever it crops up.
