IE6 says it can't find Acrobat

Something must have changed recently, but I don't remember changing anything
that would have caused this problem.
When I click on ANY pdf link at ANY website, IE gives me a blank page with
an error window that says it can't find Adobe Acrobat. I can download the
files and then open them just fine.

I have Acrobat reader 7.0 installed. I tried setting it to not read files
within the browser, and then changed it back to read files within the
browser. Either way, pdfs will not open from IE.

Hi riverside98 :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

IE browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files.
You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then
opening it.

Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box next to "Display PDF
in browser"

If still no joy, then try the following:

Uinstall the Adobe Reader and reinstall it.

The same thing started for me last week. I can't open using acrobat 6.0, 5.0,
reader 7.0. I've unloaded and re-loaded all programs 3-5 times, and cleaned
the registry each time. Still can't open PDF files. I can't open them using
IE6 or Foxfire. It must be something in the last MS update. I'm sure it is
not in IE 6 because even from a fresh re-start of the computer, I still can't
open PDF's. I really need some help. FAST.

Hi Yada :)

Have you tried any of the suggestions that I posted for the OP?

If not.....please do. If you did, please post what happened. Any error
messages. And what version of Windows are using?

Hope this helps.
