Acrobat Reader

I have installed Adobe Acrobat 4.0 and Acrobat Reader
6.0. PDF files in IE always open in Acrobat 4.0, but I
would like them to open w/ Acrobat Reader 6.0. How can I
change the file type assignment within IE so that PDF
files open with Reader 6.0?

You can change this designation in the File Types
definitions.

Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options... - File
Types. Locate the PDF extension and change the
application.

I have exactly the same problem, and changing file types makes pdf
files which are on the comp opening with reader, but not those which
are within an IE page which continue to be opened by adobe acrobat.

I am running windows XP, and in my file type definitions
I have an advanced tab. Here you can check multiple
actions to see which executable is being launched. This
is the only thing I can think of for you to check.
