Acrobat 6.0 not loading

I have downloaded Acrobat 6.0 three times now, but it
won't set itself up as the default .pdf reader. When I
click on a .pdf file IE always loads Acrobat 4.0. I can't
find a way to make it change the default. Does anyone
know how?

Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types. Scroll
down to Adobe Acrobat Document (or PDF) and set it to the one you want.

Or,
save a PDF file. Hold down the shift key while you right click on the file.
Choose 'open with' and then choose the Acrobat Reader version you want.
Make sure you check the box to always use this program.
