IE6 installation

I have Windows XP Home and recently had some difficulty with hackers and viruses. As a result my IE6 was not working anymore. I talked with a tech in the chat room and she gave me the directions to download IE6 to reinstall it, but the problem now is when I try this I get a message that says IE6 did not pass the Logo test and it terminates the install. How can a Microsoft product not pass the Logo test? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

here is a site telling you how to get the entire group of setup files to be
downloaded to your pc, so you don't have to get the files from the web all
of the time.

i suggest you only install the files for the OS you have. (ex. XP, 2000, ME,
95, 98, nt4.0)
hope this helps
