IE6 DNSerror

Hello,

i've got a problem suddenly with my Internet Explorer 6.x.
One day my IE stopped with an error
res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm.

Unfortunaly i have to use the IE to update my System with new patches
and updates.

I remove any IP configuration and i reinstall my Explorer again but
nothing happens. I've installes the Netscape Navigator and anything is
working. It's possible for me to use the internet.
....but i can't install any patches from the Microsoft Update Site.

Have someone an idea to fix this problem?

regards
Stefan

Hi,

Suggestion:

IE Properties/Programs/Reset Web Settings. Advanced Tab/Restore Defaults.

Do you know a way to remove the IE 6.x completly from XP?
I like to reinstall the browser completly.
