Running 6.0.2800.1106 on XP
Some links don't work (eg no reponse to search on Google,
or clicked links on Amazon).
Affects all but one user (a system administrator, but not
the only one). So, at the moment we all browse from this
user account, not a good situation!
From one of the faulty user accounts, the bug can be
temporarily fixed by opening a new IE window from within
the original IE window (File New Window). This only works
after the original window is then closed.
I have tried all of the other advice on the gorup
postings to register .dll's, and checking registry keys
and URL:HTTP file types settings to no avail!!!!
Any suggestions welcomed.... please!

Things to check.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
