recently installed SP2 on father in laws pc. had to then do inline upgrade
as telephony files became corrupt. problem was sorted. two days later,
problems occured with IE (version 6) from when we accessed the favourites
folder. problems include
1. when trying to access the favourites, the home page goes blank and screen
flashes between blank page and home page - will not connect to web.
favourites disppear at this point.
2. when typing in url in address bar, can access certain webpages, but when
trying to navigate we get the following error. "an attempt was made to
reference a token that does not exist" at this point the whole thing just
stops working.

although i have a little bit of computer knowledge i am out of my depth with
this one? so any ideas...without too much jargon would be really appreciated.

Hiya Chairy! In my reading I wasn't able to find the part about 'does all
funny tricks', in fact I would say that I found your message to be most
unfunny, except for the part where 'the whole thing stops working.' Perhaps
if you entice a reader by offering funny tricks, then you should bend over
backwards to provide them, ah hem, yes. And as for having a little computer
knowledge, you then should know better than to work on anyone's computer but
your own possibly, and never I mean NEVER work on computers within the
family, I MEAN NEVER, if you want to continue to have a family, 'cause either
way you will lose. If you have no idea what I mean, you will...you will.
Bye!

thank you for your informative response. my computer knowledge is sufficient
to install additional ram, DVD writer, and upload upgrades. it is sufficient
to cope with the basic software repair works but having exhausted all
internet references to resolve the problems i turned to the help and support
services.

now perhaps you can go and play with your teddy bear so that the grown ups
can offer a useful response.
