Hello. I am running Window XP, Home Edition with DSL connection. All of a
sudden IE is very slow to download pages while I'm on the internet. Does
anyone have any suggestions as to why and how I can speed up my download
like it was before? Thanks!

Hi,
You might need to clear the cache.
IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files (and delete offline
content.) It's often recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB
(Settings.)

Or, you may be infested with malware.
Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:
The Parasite Fight http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
Bugs, Glitches & Stuffups: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

If not caused by malware, consider disabling (briefly- for diagnostic
purposes) legitimate programs running in the background which might be
interacting with IE- security, antivirus, ad-blockers, toolbars & other
add-ons, etc.
You may have to uninstall then reinstall, or not reinstall, a program.

Hope this helps,
Don
