IE Temp Internet Files

"C:\Documents and Settings\GB\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" (my
login as administrator) does not show the next folder Content.IE5 like the
default user path does "C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5" I know the folder exists
because I can see it scanned with Norton Antivirus. Additionally the junk in
the "\Temporary Internet Files" folder cannot be deleted. Yes its an admin
account and yes the folder options have all views including hidden system
files selected.
Any suggestions ...PLEASE... Anyone?????

It's a new security feature of XP. You can see everyone else's Content.IE5,
but you can't see your own. And they can see yours, but not their own.
Confuses the hell out of hackers, who can probably see everyone's. ;-)

Seriously, they're called "really hidden files". Read all about it here:

http://www.pcsympathy.com/article198.html

But, to tell the truth, despite being really hidden, they DO seem to get
cleared via:

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Delete Cookies + Delete Files (including
offline content) + Clear History.

If you want to make sure:

Download System Security Suite from:

http://www.igorshpak.net/

and @WinSpy from:

http://www.acesoft.net/winspy/

HTH :)

Many thanks Kenny had about given up hope of an answer. BTW if the address
bar is activated one can type in the complete path and they will show up.
Now if I could only delete some of the stubborn cookies in the parent
folder. "Additionally the junk in the
"\Temporary Internet Files" folder cannot be deleted. Yes its an
admin account and yes the folder options have all views including
hidden system files selected."
