IE stopped working just on my account

Setup: Dell XP -> Linksys WRT54 -> DLink TA -> Motorola Surfboard
cable modem

IE stopped working all of a sudden on my account. A couple of banking
and credit card sites work (which I use a lot). For everythin else I
get "page not found".I can still send/receive e-mail through OE. IE
works on other accounts in household. Likewise I can use IE on a
laptop which has wireless connection to the router. What do I need to
reset/reinstall to make it work?
 
are you running any kind of a firewall? almost sounds
like either a firewall or cookie blocker issue, simply
because if IE was corrupt or damaged no sites would come
up, not just banking and not others.
