I recently purchased a linksys usb wireless router for my two computers (one
not finished being built yet), but I did set up the router on the one
computer running xp pro. Everything was running fine. Don't ask why, but I
then disconnected the router and now I can not get it to get an internet
connection when I try to hook it up again. My modem is an external Surfboard
modem, and when I ran a network diagnostic test on it this is what I got back:

I don't understand why it is saying that my Surfboard modem is in a failed
status since it is working fine. I also want to add that this is nothing new
with the diagnostic test on my modem. It always shows up failed. This is my
IP address and everything seems to be in order, but I am getting very
frustrated with the whole thing. Any advice from someone out there? It
would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

What evidence do you have that the modem is working fine? Those ping
failures make me think that there is something wrong with the modem.

For one thing I can connect to the Internet with my Surfboard modem, lt looks like it might have some extra stuff in it though. (I am sending another sheet to show you what it looks like)
