IE icon missing

When I go into display properties then desktop then customize desktop, the
option for Internet Explorer is no longer there. This happened recently so
I believe it was a windows update that did this. I have noticed this on
several machines at work, the option is missing on all of them.
What I really want is the IE icon on the desktop that you can right click
and go to internet properties. Is there a way to restore this icon and not
just an IE shortcut to the desktop?
Thanks

Do you have a mail account with "SolutionPro, Inc." or do you just want
others to get all the spam on behalf of you?

Install "TweakUI" as an alternative to other posted solutions:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

TweakUI > Desktop > Internet Explorer > tick > Apply > OK.
