IE doesn't work like it should

I'm having lots of problems getting to certain webistes...more specifically, Microsft websites such as Windows Updater and .Net Sign In. I can't figure out what is wrong with my IE. I can use AOLs brower fine to get around, but it won't let me run windows update from AOL and it also won't load .Net Sign in. I'm at a loss. Please help.
 
You could be infected with any number of hijackers, worms, viruses, trojans
and other nasty malware.

Hi, I too am having great troubles with IE and it is frustrating. It just crashes when I go on. I ended up going to start and then help and support to get to windows update so I could download latest updates. That was the only way I could do it. I am currently logged on as another user and trying to see if that will help. Have you had any answers to your problem
