ie does not save graphic files in the proper format

Not sure what happen to do this, but when i try to save a file in IE, it
wants to save the file as UNTITLED.BMP, instead of jpeg or jpg. I have gone
through and read KB articles 250747, 260650, and 810978 and nothing seems to
work. I am sending the link i have problems saving the graphic in.

http://www.7ya.ru/photos/private.aspx?RubrID=76826 - If you click on one of
the pictures in the squares, another window pops up to display a larger
picture, and trying to save that image is when the trouble begins. The only
choice is to save as Untitled.bmp instead of 125478.jpeg. If you look at the
graphic properties, it will show the name with file extension of what the
file is.

Thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated,

Maxine

Thank you Margaret for your reply. I have gone through MS Knowledge Base and
followed all instructions in articles 250747, 260650, 810978 and nothing has
worked.

Hi,
The problem is with that site. I don't know which aspect of the coding is
causing it. The workaround would be to use PrintScreen to copy the image to
the clipboard, then paste it into MS Paint or another image editing program.

Hope this helps,
Don

I think the problem is that the detailed image is not cached.
The thumbnail image is cached and I can right-click, Save Picture As...
with it.

In fact, it is even more unusual than that. Looking with the TIF viewer
(Alt-T,O,Alt-S,V) shows that the URL http://dnl.alp.ru/7ya-photo/984/1111689295984.jpg
is stored with cache name 11116892956984[1].htm and when I drag that
to Notepad I can see that it is some very basic HTML which does an
automatic redirect to http://www.7ya.ru/ after 5 seconds.

It looks to me that a strong attempt is being made to preserve copyright
Thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated,

Maxine

I believe the best solution would be to, when you are going to save the
files, select a different file format. You can change the file format that
you save the picture in if you want to have a different format of that picture
