IE and Verizon DSL

A couple of weeks ago I started having an issue. Once I
connect thru my Verizon DSL modem, I can't get online.
Any website I try, nothing. I reset the modem, released
and renewed the IP addresses. What's weird is the
connection is there...because I can use my work's VPN
client to VPN over that connection into my work's
network. And once I do that, then I can open up
explorer. I spent 1 hour on the phone with Verizon, what
a waste of time...anyone has any ideas? Thanks ahead of
time!

This is possibly caused by spyware/parasites. Work through the
solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
