IE "about:blank" hijacker

my IE home page is being hijacked to a pseudo "about:blank" page. It was
discovered by some one else that the Hijackers are spyware, adware companies
that want you to buy their product. Someone on the web found the real
website to these hijackers. Here is what he said: "By the way, if you go
offline with Internet Explorer and type OK To these nasty adware pop up
windows you will see the guys who benefit. From this hijacker. I found:
www.palsol.com
www.likesurfing.com
www.vn.msie.cc (the real web page)

Is anyone else having this problem. If so I think i got the fix for it from
McAfee

problem solved.
free and secure.
open source too if you want the code.
can microsoft beat it? no.

Is anyone else having this problem. If so I think i got the fix for it
from

First, if you don't have WinXP SP2, get LSP-Fix - a free program to repair
damaged Winsock 2 stacks
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
save it because you might need to repair the Winsock 2 stacks after removing
the culprit.
For WinXP SP2 this command will restore the Winsock stacks if you can't
connect after clearing the malware.
Go to Start | Run and type
CMD
In the command window type
netsh winsock reset
Then get CWShredder
