IE 7 is garbage

Am I the only one who thinks that the supposedly "new and improved" IE7 is a
huge piece of crap? Half the time I try to bring it up I get an error
message that says I need to close it or I get a message the page cannot be
displayed, yet a diagnosis shows that I don't have any connectivity issues.

That's a very good question - I never had to answer it, or put up with that
"crap" since I use Firefox. Works like a dream!

IE-7 works fine for me although some do not like it.

However your problems seem more like a bad installation.
Try uninstalling "Windows Internet Explorer 7" through Add/Remove programs
then reinstalling.

Or use one of the 3rd party options.

IE7 works ok here.
You are entitled to your opinion, wrong as it may be.

I associate with a problem that occurred shortly after installing IE 7.
After booting XP, then allowing XP to do its thing before logging in per
hard drive activity, the system would reboot shortly after logging in.
Continuous, couldn't get in safe mode either, same occurred.

The only other installation was another MS product, Age of Empires III just
prior to IE 7 install. (did reboot first before installing IE 7) Problem
occurred after using IE 7 for about 10 minutes. Shutting down, then cold
booting the next day.

I recovered by restoring a backup image of XP before IE 7 or AOE III
install. Currently using former IE 6, with AOE III installed again.

Safeguards: ZA Pro, Trend Antispyware, and NAV. Full IE cache/offline
cache, cookie, history, autocomplete data and other deletions at completion
of internet use.

Had similar problem with an earlier version of IE when first introduced in
98SE environment. Had something to do with windows shutting down too
quickly for its own good.

I got so "pissed off" with it that I took it off my computer for the same
reasons that you site. Besides that, the interface is god-awful butt ugly
and wastes browser space needlessly. That immoveable tool bar is the
nuttiest thing I have seen in a long while.

My impression of IE7 is that it was quickly cobbled together after a month
long drinking binge.
