ie 7

Normally I'm positive about (even problematic) stuff, but this IE7 on Vista
CONSTANTLY locks up, crashes or just fails to respond or do anything so that
I have to shut it down with Task Manager End Process 90% of the time.

I have all the latest updates, defrag often, empty my cache regularly, but
this is the biggest, most frustrating piece of s**t I've ever run across.
And it only gets worse. IE 6 and before were no problems, but this one is
exactly the opposite.

Pure crap.

Does it still do the same if you disable your Add Ons. If not then add them back one by one until you find the one that is causing your issue.

Add Ons= IE\Properties\Programs\Manage Add Ons

Start Orb - All Programs - System Tools - IE (without Add-ons)

Run that and see if you have the same problems.

Pure crap.

In our environment this is a constant complaint. Something is really hugely
wrong.

It is worse that Outlook 2007 taking forever to close and corrupt .pst
files!

Then don't use it. There are lots of other browsers out there, all of which
are better than IE in my opinion. Netscape 9, Firefox, Opera... I prefer
Netscape but give them all a try and decide for yourself.

I've noticed that Adobe Macromedia Flash - the latest version - locks up IE7
big time. I don't know who has to fix this. Microsoft? Adobe? Both? But
whatever, Flash is the major source of IE7 crashes.
