Just in the last week, when searching for windows updates via Microsoft
Update from an IE 6 browser window, IE 7 no longer shows up as an option to
download and install. The only way to download it is to download it is from
the Microsoft download center. Has anyone seen this? Has something changed
on Microsoft's side of things?
I think because you refused to install it many times, it may be moved to
this folder in your Windows Updates Control panel on MS updates site:
Open or Run Windows Updates Site page and Press Custom, after checking for
updates on offer click under Option on the Left side in your control panel
and you will see these three Options:
*Review your Update History *=> If you click on this you will review all
updates Successful updates, cancelled updates, Failed Updates, mostly you
will find it Failed if you will not find it on Restore Hidden Updates, if so,
it means once upon time you got it started to install and you cancelled the
installation, making the History folder thinking you installed and you need
to go to the control |panel >> Add/Remove programs and uninstall it ( which
is not true).
* Restore Hidden Updates* => If you refuse it many times and checked the
don't how me this update again it will be moved here I think, so by clicking
on this you will see some updates there.
You could click on the upper options for Optional Software to see if it there.
HTH.
Let us know.
