IE-6 SP 1, how do I get rid of AOL version

I have a friend that installed AOL, and it updated her IE
to ver 6, then added a note to the top of the screen
saying it was from AOL. Not she has dropped AOL for
another ISP, but their speed increaser system will ot
work because IE is from AOL. I have the IE-6 SP1 CD,
tried to reinstqall all files, but it did not get rid of
th AOL part. How can I get rid of the AOL tag on IE?
Used install/delete to get rid of the old AOL files, I
thought, but need help with this. Also have another
friend that has this proplem, but with ATT that updated
her IE files. Any help would be appreciated.
